How I Found My Footing in Real Estate as a GEN Z Realtor

We recently had an engaging Wittychat Live session with an inspiring mind in the real estate industry – Chimama Okafor. As she introduced herself, Chimama shared that she is the Head of Marketing and Communication at a real estate company. Being a Gen Z professional, Chimama has been in the workforce for 7 years, with the last 3 years devoted to real estate.

When asked how she found herself in this dynamic industry, Chimama described her journey as a deeply spiritual one. It all began in July 2021, when she had a vivid dream about selling a property and making millions in the process. Since that day, the words “Real Estate” started echoing in her mind repeatedly.

Shortly after the dream, a colleague from her department, who appeared to be quite affluent and always had the latest gadgets and accessories, approached her. The colleague mentioned her interest in getting into real estate, and this struck a chord with Chimama – a sign that her dream was leading her in the right direction. This serendipitous moment marked the beginning of her journey into real estate.

Chimama began attending property inspections, training sessions, and various other activities that helped her build her foundation in the industry. With hard work and dedication, she grew into the confident and skilled realtor she is today.

During the session, the host asked Chimama how she balances her roles as a realtor and an educator in the field. She explained that her background as a teacher and content creator plays a significant role in this. She combines her passion for teaching and content creation with her knowledge of real estate to educate and inspire others.
